Newcastle Gateshead’s Quayside offers fantastic views of the city, including Tyne Bridge and the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. If you want to get a breath of fresh air and have some reading to get done, why not find a seat along the river and do it there? You may want to wait until summer when the weather is warmer to try this option, until then perhaps try The Quay Ingredient, a trendy café on the quayside.

  2. Quilliam Brother’s Teahouse

Claremont Buildings, 1 Eldon Place, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 7RD

Always popular with students, Quilliam’s is a great place for a coffee and cake, but not many people know it also has a cinema and downstairs seating area that is perfect for a revision session. Plus, it’s just across the road from the Robinson Library, which is open to Northumbria students, making it easy to pick up any additional study materials
