‘STEM’ is term that is used to group together the distinct but related disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
These subject areas were once more male-dominated but things are changing, and more women are inspiring inclusion and building successful careers in STEM.We have spoken to some of our students and academics that are challenging the STEM career stereotype and inspiring the next generation.

We’re seeing steady progress with female representation in STEM, with WISE estimating that by 2030 we’ll see 29% of STEM workforce identifying as female. However, considering the good employment opportunities in this area, this remains to be a low proportion and we want to challenge this under representation.
