About: I have taught English language and English for Academic Purposes in a wide range of contexts; including in South Korea, Sudan, China and here in the UK. I previously worked for HBU-UCLan, where I was the module lead for Academic Reading and Academic Presentations on the Foundation Year Programme, and INTO Newcastle, where I taught on the Graduate Diploma Programme.  I have also taught on a pre-sessional English course at The University of Sheffield.
Notable Research Projects and/or publications: In terms of research interests, I am interested in taking an ethnomethodological approach to analysing real-world interaction in the context of second language use. I recently co-authored a paper, based on my Master’s dissertation, which has been published in ‘Linguistics and Education’. This also formed the basis of a talk I gave at the British Association of Applied Linguistics 2021 conference.
