International Foundation Programme – Engineering
What made you decide to study at Northumbria University?
The reason I chose to come to Northumbria University is because I have a brother who studied here to become a Dentist and I had asked him about what it was like to study here and he told me it’s really good. I did look at other universities in Newcastle to study at, but I saw some of the reviews Northumbria had been given and spoke to some people who I know studied here also and all said the same that it was really good.
Why did you choose Engineering as your programme?
Engineering is my dream. When I was a child I always dreamed about becoming an engineer.
Why did you choose the UK to complete your studies?
I chose to come to the UK because in my country they teach us a lot of subjects that aren’t related to the career we want to go into whereas here you can study a specific subject.
How would you say Northumbria University has benefited you?
Being here has improved my English language skills such as speaking and listening. It has also taught me how to depend on myself more along with understanding how to write reports and essays.
Would you recommend Northumbria University? If so, why?
I would recommend Northumbria University because you get to meet a wide range of people from all different cultures and backgrounds. Being around a diverse group of people opens your mind and you learn a lot from them.
