The Tyne and Wear Metro is a popular rail system that offers fast and cost-effective travel around the city, running frequently and as early as 5.45am – so there’s no excuse to be late to class!

This service also allows you to travel in and out of the region or connect to other methods of transport for small and affordable day trips on your days off.

Students are eligible for a ‘Pop card’ which provides a 30% discount on Metro travel across Tyne and Wear.
