Northumbria University has been approved by the Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education for funding in a wide range of subject categories. Information for funding from the MOHE can be found on their website.
Newcastle is a compact city, which means that it’s large enough to ensure that there’s always something to do, but equally small enough to help you feel like part of the community. There are over 45,000 students in the city, that’s one in every six people in Newcastle. So it’s no surprise that it’s been voted the best student city 5 times in the last 7 years.
If you like to shop, Newcastle has one of the UK’s largest city centre shopping complexes, Eldon Square, plus there are numerous boutiques and markets worth visiting too.
For those who would like to travel a little further afield to see more of the region, Newcastle is only an hour’s drive from Scotland, or the coastline is also nearby with some of the best surfing beaches in the north of the UK.
Places to eat
Newcastle has lots of options of places to eat, with restaurants of almost every different cuisine to sample. Many of the restaurants in Newcastle and Gateshead serve halal food, you can check a list online here.
