About Jennifer

Jenny joined the International Foundation Programme at Northumbria University in January 2015 as an English for Academic Purposes Lecturer, having previously taught English in China. Before her career in teaching, she supported people seeking asylum in Newcastle and worked with many different communities in Sunderland encouraging the reporting of hate crime. 

Jennifer’s professional interests lie in collaborative learning and students as global citizens. Outside of work she enjoys travelling, reading, learning Mandarin, and working on her allotment.
