Qualifications:
Kate has ten years of teaching experience in STEM across a range of ages and institutions, and extensive research experience in both Education and Astrophysics. She joined Northumbria at the very start of 2020 and has taught modules in Mathematics and Engineering within the International Foundation Programme, as well as developing material for other subjects.
Professionally she is passionate about equality and diversity in education, outreach, and novel methods of teaching problem solving. Personally, she is an enthusiastic reader of fiction, and enjoys hiking, writing, and crafts.
