About Emma

Emma has been teaching English for Academic Purposes across a range of English and ICT modules on the International Foundation Programme at Northumbria University since 2014. Before this, Emma taught Academic English in university pre-sessional programmes and spent 12 years teaching English to international students within further education. 

Currently Emma oversees the delivery of the International Foundation Programme and the International Medical Foundation Programme within NU Pathway, where she has designed and created teaching materials and assessments for numerous modules on the International Year One and the International Foundation Programmes.

As Head of the Level 3 Programmes in NU Pathway, the quality of teaching and learning, as well as the positive student experience, are of the utmost importance.  

In terms of interests and hobbies,  Emma has a strong interest in the pedagogical aspects of technology in the classroom to enhance the learning experience for students.
